
Mystery Discount
In order to increase engagement we decided to send an email that would pull in customers with intrigue and potentially high discount.
We had 5 levels of discount ranging from 25% off to free card. For the email I decided to animate a spinning wheel, displaying all levels of discount. We knew that this was an eye catching lead into the offer.
To drive traffic we applied a ‘Curiosity Gap’ by only displaying the level of discount the customer would receive once they clicked the ‘Get Code’ CTA. This then took them to a web layer, where the repeated wheel animation would stop on their discount and reveal a code.
